Gaye Markov

Gaye Markov was born on August 14, 1946 in Chicago to James and Dorothy (nee Stahl) Haverkos. She died Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Glenview.
Gaye Markov was an Assistant Dean for Business and Finance at the School of Communication at Northwestern University, an institution where she worked for 44 years. She enjoyed crocheting, writing (both fiction and nonfiction), and a good ghost story.
She is survived by her son, Alex Markov; her siblings, Melissa (Max) Prideaux and Rory Haverkos; her niece, Miranda (Wayne) O'Keefe; her nephew, Marek Prideaux; and her grandnephews, Matthew, William and Lucas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Mason Prideaux.

Memorial visitation from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois with a memorial service at 4:00 PM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
