Dorothy E. Laurie was born September 30, 1925 in Youngstown, Ohio to Francis and Alma (nee Smith) Carew. She died February 17, 2012 at her home in Arlington Heights.

Dorothy was a long time resident of Indianapolis. She attended both Butler and Indiana Universities. She worked for American Airlines and U.S. Air for many years until her retirement in 1989.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Emily Wills and by her granddaughter Katie Wills.

She is preceded in death by her husband John E. Laurie and by her parents.

Visitation will be held Monday February 20, 2012 from 3 PM until the time of service at 7 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home 4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, IL. Interment private.
