Lorna Clausing
Of Arlington Heights

Lorna Clausing was born on June 18, 1918 in Arlington Heights to Herman and Alma (nee Schoembeck). She died February 7, 2012 at Apostolic Christian Resthaven in Elgin.

She had a passion for gardening and flowers and loved her dogs. She lived in Arlington Heights for 88 years and was a life long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. In 2006 she moved to Hampshire, IL to be closer to her family.

Survivors include her sister in law La Verne Meier; nieces and nephews Linda (late Gerald) Meyer, Ken (Sherry) Clausing, Warren (Karen)Clausing, Sharon (Clair) Miller, Susanne (Tom) Anderson, Ralph (Lorraine) Heine, Marian (Warren) Nesler, Elaine (Gerald) Pearson, Sandra (Gary) Schwarz and Diane (Rick) Hamilton.

Lorna is preceded in death by her husband Arthur W. Clausing whom she married June 20, 1942, he died December 29, 1993; her brother Erwin Meier; her niece Karen Greatsinger and by her parents.

Visitation Friday, 10 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights. Funeral service at 11 AM. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
