Frank Ortman
Of Arlington Heights
Frank Ortman was born October 15, 1923 in Chicago to Joseph and
Elizabeth (nee Lennert) Ortman. He died on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at
the Pepper Family Hospice of Barrington.
Mr. Ortman served in the Navy during WWII in the North Atlantic, and
worked as a Tool and Die Maker in the manufacturing industry. He liked
flying airplanes, and was an avid model airplane maker and collector.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Marilyn D. (nee Medlinger) Ortman,
whom he married April 13, 1974 in Chicago; his children, Daniel (LeMae)
Ortman, Lawrence (Colleen) Ortman, James (Linda) Mackey, and Robert
(Kim) Mackey; his grandchildren, Lawrence, Kenneth, Brian, Krissy,
Aaron, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Kevin, Shannon, Kelly, and Lauren; 11
great-grandchildren, and his sister, Elizabeth Wodka
Frank is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial visitation from 9:00 AM until time of Memorial Mass 10:00 AM,
Thursday, March 10, 2011 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington
Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation
Army, 5040 N. Pulaski Rd., Chicago, IL 60630-2788.
