Robert M. Fox was born August 29, 1933 in Bronx, New York to Thomas J. Sr. and Margaret Mary (nee McCarthy) Fox. He died on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in Arlington Heights.

Bob loved his garden, spending many hours growing vegetables, plants, and flowers. He loved doing his puzzles and was proud of his military service in the Navy. Most of all, he loved spending time with his 13 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Jane (nee Comstock) Fox whom he married June 25, 1955; his children, Marylee Hausler of Ballston Spa, New York, JoAnn (Jimmy) Garrett of Spring Grove, Debi (Ray) Kraft of Parma, Ohio, Michael Fox of Palatine, Amy (John) Bastuga of Darien, and Julie (Jeff) Forsberg of Arlington Heights; his grandchildren, Jamie Hausler-Melancon, Brittni, and Ryan Hausler, Christine, J.R., and Thomas Garrett, Mick, Katie, and Anna Bastuga, Joseph, Jane, and Jacob Forsberg, and Ryan Kraft; and his sister, Regina Marie Doyle.

Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas J. Fox, Jr.; and by his parents.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary Catholic Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment is at St. Mary Parish Cemetery.
