Cathy Kopeny was born April 28, 1963 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to Jack and Katherine (nee McNerney) Downie. She died on Monday, January 31, 2011 at University of Chicago Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Matt Kopeny; her mother, Katherine; and her brother, Jack Downie.

Cathy is preceded in death by her father, Jack.

The Kopeny Family will receive guests from 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 5, 2011 until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.
