Morton Lowrey Riess
Of Arlington Heights

Morton L. Riess was born June 3, 1926 in Oak Park to Harry John and Alice (nee Lowrey) Riess. He died on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Church Creek of Arlington Heights.

Morton served in the Navy during both WWII and the Korean War. He attended Miami University in Ohio, and then transferred to the University of Michigan where he received his Bachelors Degree in Engineering. He then received his MBA from Keller.

He is survived by his wife Elita Ann (nee Wolf) Riess; his children, William (Colleen) Riess, and Julie (Nick deLeeuw) Riess; his grandchildren, Joshua, Leslie, William, and Lydia; his sisters, Janet (the late Bill) Brook, and Donna (the late Karl) Abt; and his nieces and nephews, Ainsley, Chris, David, and Karen.

Morton is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation Friday February 4, 2011 from 1 PM until the time of service at 3:30 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.
