Gustavo G. “Gus” Hernandez, MD was born March 31, 1937 in Havana, Cuba to Ramon and Maria (nee Fernandez) Hernandez. He died on Friday, January 28, 2011 in Arlington Heights.

He is survived by his brother-in-law Dr. Humberto Nagera, Sr.; and his nephews Humberto Jr. and Daniel Nagera, niece Lisette Nagera and his companion Miguel M. Hernandez. Dear friend Dr. Julio C. Sr. (Tammy) Gonzalez, God Children Dr. Julio C. (Debbi) Gonzalez Jr., Charro (Chris) Egan and Joey Gonzalez.

Gustavo is preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Gloria Nagera, and Ramon Hernandez, Jr.

Memorial Visitation, Friday, February 4, 2011, from 4:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 5:30 PM, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment is private.
