Martha Asherman was born June 15, 1928 in Chicago to George K. and Ann (nee Hart) Smith. She died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Arlington Heights.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Jim) Clifford, Kent (Mary) Linton, Juli Stone, and Douglas (Lisa) Asherman; and her grandchildren, Kirk Preston, Heather Preston, Sarah (Ben) Francisco and Monica (Mark) Thein.

Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Asherman; her son, Christopher; her parents; and her sister, Dorothy Provis.

Visitation from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service 11:00 AM, Monday, February 22, 2010 at The Lutheran Home & Services, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights. Burial is private.
