Erna Gruebnau was born on June 15, 1914 in Mt. Prospect to William and Caroline (nee Russell) Pohlman, She passed away on February 7, 2009 in Arlington Heights.

Erna was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gruebnau; her sisters, Caroline Pohlman and Edna Sieber; and her brother, Ralph Pohlman.

Visitation Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 10:00 Am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at Lutheran Home & Service for the Aged, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Lutheran Home & Services or to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 McHenry Rd., Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047.
