Eldred Koenig
Of Arlington Heights for over 50 years

Eldred Koenig was born on July 4, 1922 in Chicago to Harold and Hazel (nee Stoike) Koenig. He passed away on February 6, 2009 in Arlington Heights.

Eldred served as an officer in the Navy during WWII. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church since becoming a member in 1959. He retired in 1983 from Firemans Fund after a 30-year career. He also had attained his CPCU.

Eldred is survived by his children, Kimberly (Steve) Gecan of Crystal Lake, Craig (Kathy) Koenig of Mt. Prospect and Katherine (Jeff) McVay of Arlington Heights; his grandchildren, Jamie, Sarah and Rachel Koenig and Kristen and Matthew Gecan; and his brother, Roland (the late Margaret) Koenig.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (nee Hoenscheid).

Memorial service 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 14, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights, 302 N. Dunton Ave. Interment private.
