Stephen P. McBride
Of Arlington Heights

Stephen P. McBride was born January 20, 1926 in Pontousac Township, Illinois to Leo and Victoria (nee Owings) McBride. He died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Mr. McBride was a self-employed CPA. He served in the Army during WW II. Stephen was a member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Rosary Council #4483 and a member of the Elizabeth Ann Seton Assembly #2410.

Steve is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bernice C. nee Krentner; his children Pam (Tom) Absher of Alamo, Calif., Terry (Elaine Stankiewicz) McBride of Park Ridge, Jim (Cindy) McBride of Carmel, Ind., Kevin (Linda) McBride of Chicago, Janet (Robert) Troher of Chicago and Christine Larson of El Paso, Texas; his grandchildren Natasha and Jack Absher, Harrison and Kendall McBride, Melissa and Michael McBride, Pasha, Misha and Joey McBride, Zachary Troher, Erik, Evelyn and Zoe Larson; his sisters Frances Salome, Cecilia Temborius and Martha Conradt.

He is preceded in death by his son John; his parents; three sisters and two brothers.

Visitation from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
