Andrew J. Bruno

Andrew J. Bruno was born January 19, 1923, to Joseph and Anne (nee Citrona) Bruno in Chicago. He died February 26, 2008 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.

Mr. Bruno worked for Bowman Dairy as a milkman before owning and operating a Sinclair/Arco gas station in Chicago. He served in the Army during WW II.

Andrew is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary (nee Ermitage) Bruno whom he married October 22, 1950; his daughters Anna T. (Richard) Giovannini of Arlington Heights and Theresa M. (Robert Jr.) Garner of Elk Grove Village; his grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Melanie and Melissa Giovannini, Kelly and Jennifer Garner; his sister Rose Rizzo and brother Robert (Rosalie) Bruno; and his many nieces and nephews

He is preceded in death by his daughters Barbara and Sandra; his parents, his brothers Dominick and Anthony Bruno and his brother-in-law Nick Rizzo.

Visitation from 4:00 until 9:00 PM, with prayer service at 8:00 PM, Friday February 29, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.
