Edward Adam Taunk
Formerly of Des Plaines

Edward Adam Taunk was born August 13, 1912 in Des Plaines, Illinois to Walter and Caroline Taunk. He died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Vintage on the Ponds in Sugar Creek, Wisconsin.

Mr. Taunk was a production Manager for over 40 years for Ma Brown Preserves. He later worked at Northside International for five years. He was in the first graduating class at Maine East High School, a member of the Des Plaines Elks Club the Izaak Walton League and Christ Church in Des Plaines.

His survivors include his daughter Karen (Thomas) Meier of Arlington Heights; his grandchildren Kim (Michael) Schultze and Scott Meier; his great grandchildren Jacob, Cole and Emma; and his brother-in-law Russell Gilmore and sister-in-law Dorothy Gilmore.

Edward is preceded in death by his wife Edith and his parents.

Visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 29, 2008 at Christ Church, 1492 Henry Ave. (Cora & Henry), Des Plaines, IL. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Christ Church.
