Michael S. Shimko was born on April 10, 1952 in Canton, OH to Michael and Jane (nee Price) Shimko. He passed away on February 25, 2008 in Arlington Heights.

Michael graduated from ITT Technical Institute with an associates degree in electronic engineering. He enjoyed hiking, gardening, cooking and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Fran (nee Welfle), his parents, his eight siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.
