Helen A. Schmid was born July 17, 1912 in Chicago to Michael and Mary (nee Mechoka) Kolenda. She died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Schmid was a homemaker.

Her survivors include her sons Glenn (Jeanne) Schmid of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania and Raymond (Karen) Schmid of Hoffman Estates; her grandchildren Laura, Cynthia and Katie.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband William, her daughter Marylyn and her parents.

Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at Noon, Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.
