Anton “Tony” Machak
Of Mt. Prospect

Anton “Tony” Machak was born May 20, 1916 in Pennsylvania to Anton and Sophie (nee Pitoniak) Machak. He died February 17, 2008 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Tony was a proud member of the VFW and the Elks Club for many years. He was an avid Packers fan and he enjoyed fishing and vacationing in Phillips, WI.

Survivors Include his daughter Irene (Tom) Corcoran of Arlington Heights; his sisters Helen Olexik, Margaret Machak, Mary Machak and Ethel (Ed) Lack; and many nieces and nephews.

Tony is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary (nee Carroll) Machak whom he married August 30, 1943 in Belfast, Ireland; his brother Joseph Machak; and his parents.

Visitation from 3 until 9 PM, Tuesday February 19, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Wednesday February 20, 2008, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of the Wayside Parish.
