Alice M. “Mickey” McClure
Of Arlington Heights

Alice M. “Mickey McClure, was born January 3, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY to Edward and Hazel (nee Schirmer) Lauer. She died February 10, 2008 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

In the early 1950’s, Mrs. McClure served in the Naval Reserves, stationed at Floyd Bennett Field in Long Island, New York. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Northwest Community and Lutheran General Hospitals and in private duty.

Alice’s survivors include her husband Walter F. McClure, whom she married October 23, 1954 in Bellerose, NY; her children Barbara Allison (John) Brust of Hawthorn Woods and Carole Jeanne Strejc of Lombard; her grandchildren Jonathan, Stephen, Courtney, Benjamin, Stephanie and Caleb and her great-granddaughter Calla.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights and Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 9:30 until time of Funeral service at 10 AM at Arlington Heights Evangelical Free Church, 1330 N. Douglas Ave., Arlington Heights. Interment private.
