Fred D. McLaughlin was born on December 5, 1919 in Sturgeon Bay, WI to Gilbert and Frances (nee Weber) McLaughlin. He passed away on February 7, 2008 at his home in Prospect Heights.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie (nee Poole) whom he married on September 12, 1959, his children, Janet Kuhn, Joan (Thomas) Rembacz and Karen (Richard) Stout and his grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer, Kimberly, Kristen, Sarah and Leigh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his eight siblings and his daughter, Kathie McLaughlin..

Visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of prayers at 10:30 AM Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Mass 11:00 Am at St. Alphonsus Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
