Roy Donald Korff
Of Elk Grove Village

Roy Donald Korff, a 45 year resident of Elk Grove Village, was born on April 14, 1932 in Chicago to Waldemar G and Lydia (nee Bonnoront) Korff. He went to his heavenly home on Friday, February 9, 2007after many courageous health struggles.

Mr. Korff was a mechanical engineer with Chamberlain Division of Duchossois Industries. He was formerly with AES Industries, Bruning Industries and Bell & Howell.

Roy served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was an avid reader and photographer. His love for the north woods of Minnesota and the joy of fishing with his grandchildren and family vacations are memories he cherished.

He leaves his wife, Jacqueline (nee Topel), whom he married May 15, 1953; daughter Cynthia (Bill) Grandt; grandchildren Jason (Melissa) and Jenna; brother Donald (late Barbara); nephew Glen (Deb) and their children Kathryn, Matthew, Anne, nieces Lynn Korff, Sandra (Jose) Aguilar, and their children Joshua and Emmalynn. He will be missed by his many friends.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd.,(four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights. Interment Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church Music Fund Voices of Worship or St. Peter Radio Ministry at above address.
