Mr. Barthold is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Rowe); and his daughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth Barthold.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Service and interment were held privately. Arrangements by Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., Arlington Heights.
