Rose Northrop
Of Palatine

Rose Northrop, formerly of Arlington Heights, was born November 27, 1915 in Chicago to Constantino and May Ann (nee Sasso) DiGiovanni. She died Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

Mrs. Northrop was an administrative assistant for Allied Van Lines an later for Hollander Moving & Storage, where she received commendations as an outstanding employee and for attendance, retiring at age 87.

Roses' survivors include her daughter Gayle (Robert) Locacius of Lake Zurich; her grandchildren Vincent Locacius, Gina (James) Probeck and Nikola (Jason) Folk; her great grandchildren Nicholas and Hayley Rose Probeck; her sister Elizabeth McQuaid and her brother Frank (Mona) DiGiovanni.

She is preceded in death by her husband Russell A. Northrop; her son Russell A. Northrop; her great grandson Matthew Allen Folk; her parents; her sister Viola Sarelli and her brother Daniel DiGiovanni.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:15 AM, Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 Anderson (Anderson & Williams), Palatine for Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
