Giuseppa Monaco was born September 28, 1916 in Sicily, Italy Salvatore and Vincenza (Palazzolo) Pizzo. She died Friday, February 24, 2006 at her home.

Mrs. Monaco was a homemaker and former employee of Salerno Brothers Bakery.

She is survived by her children Josephine Cracchiolo of Arlington Heights, Cesare (Josephine) Maltese of Lake Zurich, Vincenza Straley of Arlington Heights, Salvatore Maltese of Norridge and Mario "Tony" (Josephine) Maltese of Arlington Heights; her 12 grandchildren Anthony (Gina) Cracchiolo, Lana Jo Maltese, Jackie (James) Pauletta, John Cracchiolo, Rose (Dave) Keller, Anthony Maltese, Natalia Maltese, Diana Marie (Rick) Geati, John (Janet) Straley, Christina Maltese, Yevit (Joe) Broncato and Angie (Mike) Navel; and her 13 great grandchildren.

Giuseppa was preceded in death by her husband Alfonzo Monaco and her sister Filippa Giannola.

Visitation 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Monday, February 27, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. proceeding to St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights for 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
