Francis Daniel “Dan” Fletcher
Of Des Plaines

Francis Daniel “Dan” Fletcher, a lifetime resident of Des Plaines, was born August 14, 1950 in Akron, IA to Charles Roland and Margaret (nee Mackey) Fletcher. He died February 22, 2006 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Dan was a certified insurance counselor and professional civil engineer. He was the president of Des Plaines Elementary District #62 School Board. For the past 25 years, Dan has been a member of the Des Plaines Lions Club. Dan also served as a member of the city of Des Plaines Zoning Board and was the President of Maine Insurance Agencies Inc.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jo Ann (nee Bonaguidi) whom he married on June 14, 1975 in Mount Prospect; their children, Zachary Daniel Fletcher and Erin Margaret Fletcher, both of Des Plaines; his mother, Margaret Fletcher; his siblings, Kenneth (Dorothy) Fletcher, Pat (Gary) Yezefski, and Connie Piepenburg; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, C. Roland Fletcher.

Visitation, Friday, February 24, 2006, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 12:45 PM, Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect for Mass at 1:30 PM. Interment private.
