Dorothea Jeanne Smith, a six year resident at Luther Village and former long time resident of Deerfield was born September 7, 1924 in Hamilton, Ohio to William Leroy and Eulah Mildred (nee McCafferty) Wick. She died Sunday, February 19, 2006 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and former member of the Women's Board at the Presbyterian Home in Evanston, volunteer at the 31 Shoppe at the Presbyterian Home, volunteer for Meals on Wheels at Highland Park Hospital, member of PEO and DAR.

Jeanne's survivors include her husband of 61 years, Thomas J. Smith, whom she married May 20, 1944; her children Marti A. (Ron) Revor of Laveen, Arizona, D Michael (Mary) Smith of Mooreland, Ind., Kathleen Boldman of Winterset, Iowa and Lisa C. (Tom) Morrow of Arlington Heights; her grandchildren Brian (Angelia) Revor, Lauren Smith, Mitchell Boldman, Grant Boldman, Becky Pitzer, Sarah Pitzer, Sarah Morrow and Bryant Morrow and her great grandson Dylan.

Memorial service 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield, 824 Waukegan Rd., Deerfield, Illinois.
