Doris Elizabeth Beckman
Formerly of Arlington Heights

Doris Elizabeth Beckman was born September 29, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas to Jonathan and Elizabeth (nee Krull) Wolters. She died Friday, February 10, 2006 at Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, Texas.

Mrs. Beckman was the manager of the original Arlington Theatre until its closing in the early 1980's.

Doris' survivors include her sons Dennis E. (Lynn) Beckman of Rolling Meadows and Michael J. Beckman of El Paso; her grandchildren Kristina (Joe) Del Vecchio, Kathryn (Corey) Dossett, Gina Giancaspro and Joseph Giancaspro; her great grandchildren Aurora Del Vecchio and Grayson Dossett; her many nieces and nephews and her dear friends Isabel and Angela.

She is preceded in death by her husband LCDR Edward J. Beckman (Ret.) whom she married July 1, 1944 in Lakeland, Florida; her daughter Mary (Frank) Giancaspro; her parents; her sister Helen Roberts and her brother Bernard Wolters.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., proceeding to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
