Brian Gilblair
Of Palatine

Brian Gilblair was born April 15, 1942, in Skowhegan, Maine to Francis Stephen and Mary Elizabeth (nee Hines) Gilblair. He died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at ManorCare of Arlington Heights.

Mr. Gilblair was a designer of kitchens and baths and worked for high profile kitchen and bath showrooms on the North Shore and Northern Suburbs. He owned his own painting and decorating company, Gilblair Decorating in Buffalo Grove and later his own kitchen and bath shop, Classic Kitchen and Bath, in Libertyville.

Brian's passion was fishing, taking a yearly vacation in his beloved Maine to fish for blue fish and bass. He loved all things nature including the howling of coyotes in his backyard.

His survivors include his wife Barbara nee Cusimano, whom he married August 8, 1981 in Long Grove; his children Mark (Shari) Gilblair of Palatine, Darren Gilblair of Lake Villa and Jean Perron of East Waterboro, Maine, step-son Joe (Christine) Miller of Mundelein; his grandchildren Corbin, Ryan and Sydney Gilblair, Jillian Perron and step-grandson Ryan Kehoe; his sisters June (Sherman) Manzer of Skowhegan, Maine, Carol Ann Dwyer of Eastlake, Ohio, brother Donald (Deanna) Gilblair of Skowhegan; his special cousins Sharyn Lach (Gene Chiappetta)and Laureen (Richard) Shields; one niece, several nephews and one grand niece and nephew.

Memorial Service 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Long Grove Community Church, 1110 Robert Parker Coffin Rd., Long Grove. Family will receive guests from 10:00 AM until time of service. Arrangements by Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Northern New England Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 114 Perimeter Rd, Units G & H Nashua, NH 03063 and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 500 N. Dearborn, Suite 305, Chicago, IL 60610-4901.
