Andrew C. Shanley, Jr.
Of Arlington Heights for 49 years
Andrew was born March 30, 1928 in Chicago to Andrew and Alyce (nee Geiger) Shanley. He died January 29, 2006 at Lexington Healthcare in Wheeling.
Mr. Shanley was a Glazier, employed by Service Glass in Chicago and a member of the Glaziers Local # 27 for 30 years. He served in both the United States Army during WW II and the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a Life Member of the VFW Post # 981.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dolores "Dorie" (nee Pagano), whom he married on September 29, 1956 in Chicago; his children, Kim (Jim) Eggert of Arlington Heights, Mary (Mark) Bucher of Arlington Heights, Terry (Rob) Dubs of South Barrington, Robert (Kim) Shanley of Arlington Heights, and Joe (Mary) Shanley of Lake in the Hills; his grandchildren, Jim, Nick, Autumn, Ashley, Ben, Kelly, Whitney, Justine, Brady, Jessica, Danny, and Grace; his sisters, Pat (Jerry) Lambert and Joan (Bill) Hanrahan; his brother in law, Joe Houk; his sisters in law Stella Pagano and Esther Mason; his brother in law Rudy (Rosina) Pagano; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded by his parents and his sisters Peggy Houk and Mary Alice Shanley.
Visitation Thursday, February 2, 2006 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers will be held 9:15 AM, Friday, February 3, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., proceeding to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment is private.
