Ruth “Maryette” Thomas
Of Arlington Heights; formerly of Muskegon, MI

Ruth “Maryette” Thomas was born on October 25, 1919 in Royal Oak, MI to Guy and Wilma (nee Martin) Langdon. She passed away peacefully, Monday, January 23, 2012 in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Thomas was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Muskegon, MI. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.

Maryette is survived by her daughter, Virginia "Gina" (Ron) Boe; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Patrick) O'Donnell and Laura (Ken) Knoll; her great grandchildren, Thomas Langdon O'Donnell and Kaitlyn Lee Knoll; one niece and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Penn Thomas; her daughter, Susan Lee Thomas and her parents.

Committal Service 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 N. Ravenswood, Chicago, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Alma College, C/O Susan Lee Thomas Memorial Scholarship, 614 W. Superior St., Alma, Michigan, 48801.
