Charles R. Hendricks Sr.
Of Buffalo Grove

Charles R. Hendricks Sr. was born on April 19, 1941 in Chicago, to Roger and Carolyn (nee Gradt) Hendricks. He died Friday, January 20, 2012.

Chuck was a member and Past Master of King Oscar Lodge #855. He was past president of the Buffalo Grove Rotary Club. For 12 years, Chuck served on the Buffalo Grove Police and Fire Commission Board and spent ten years as a Buffalo Grove Village Trustee.

After retirement, Chuck loved to play golf, fish, attend his grandchildren's events and vacation in Key West.

He survived by his wife of 47 years, Dolores (nee Rose); his children, Mary Beth (Robert) Strauss, Charles R. Hendricks Jr. and David (Patty) Hendricks; his grandchildren, Thomas and Katherine Strauss, Alyssa and Karlee Hendricks and Ethan and Luke Hendricks; his brother, Leo (Caroline) McDermott; his mother-in-law, Agnes Rose; and many cherished family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 9:00 AM until the time of Masonic Service at 11:00 AM at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., Arlington Heights, Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to a favorite charity.
