Herbert Warren Peterson
Of Arlington Heights
Herbert Warren Peterson was born on June 19, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois
to William and Ella (nee Kraack) Peterson. He died Friday, January 13,
2012 at his home.
Mr. Peterson worked as a driver for Chicago Transit Authority for over
30 years before retiring. He was a former President of Chicago Avenue
Garage Federal Credit Union from 1976 – 2000 and served in the Navy as
an aviation Machinists Mate during WW II.
Herbert is survived by his, nieces Lynne (Paul) Huske, Gail (William)
Essary and Jill McDowell;his great niece and great nephews Peter (Hanna)
Huske, Andrew Essary; Brenna Essary; Great great niece and great great
nephew Emma and Henry Huske; his step daughters Joyce Kamins and JoAnn
(Tom) Houser; his 11 step grandchildren and their families including
Bonny SanHamel with whom he had a special bond.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian; his parents; and his
brother, Wilbur Peterson.
Visitation from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am,
Friday, January 20, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Interment at
Ridgewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church,
675 E. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines IL 60016.
