Lydia LaMere was born on June 4, 1944 in Insterberg, Germany to John and Emma (nee Missun) Ceynowa. She died Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Skokie.

Lydia worked as a Gradeschool Librarian for Consolidated School District 15 in Palatine. She was a member of Women on the Move in the northwest suburbs.. Lydia loved to travel with her husband, Jim, and friends throughout the world.

Lydia is survived by her spouse Jim, of 45 years whom she married November 12, 1966 in Milwaukee, WI.; her mother Emma Ceynowa; and her brother, Walter Ceynowa

She was preceded in death by her father, John Ceynowa.

Visitation from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois followed by a Memorial Service 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
