Lorraine J. Ventrelli
Of Chicago
Lorraine J. Ventrelli was born May 30, 1921 in Chicago to John and
Josephine (nee Zartler) Schmalzer. She died January 13, 2012 at
Resurrection Hospital in Chicago.
She was a resident of Resurrection Retirement Community.
Lorraine is survived by her children Susan (Steve) Boor and Thomas
(Linda) Ventrelli; her grandchildren Nicole (Dan) Gavin, Steven Boor,
Alissa Ventrelli and Michael Ventrelli; her great grandchildren Danny
and Makenna Gavin; her brother Edward (late Dorothy) Schmalzer; her
devoted caregivers Alexandra Pachla and Maryla Niezgoda and many nieces
and nephews.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband Frank T. Ventrelli; her
brothers John (late Gen), Julius and Robert Schmalzer.
Visitation from 9:30 AM until time of prayers at 11:15 AM, Wednesday,
January 18, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington
Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. to St.
James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass
at 12:00 PM. Burial at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude
Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
