Lillian L. Richardson
Of Palatine
Lillian L. Richardson was born July 27, 1914 in Chicago to Stanley and
Agnes (nee Tyburek) Mrozik. She died January 12, 2012 at Oakton
Pavillion in Des Plaines.
Stanley and Agnes Mrozik were born in Lubin Poland and came to the
United States with their two children Joe and Sophie. Lillian was their
first born in the United States. Lillian was very active in many areas.
She belonged to the Grandmother club of America and was the youngest
grandmother there. She volunteered at the USO serving coffee and donuts
to the servicemen. She read books to the patients at Children’s Memorial
Hospital. She was active in lobbying for women’s rights and marched in
Springfield for Senior benefits. She retired from Sargent Welsh after 19
years of service.
Lillian is survived by her children Agnes Trawinski, Joan Tylitzki,
William Richardson and Kathy Ruzecki; her 10 grandchildren, 18 great
grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and by many nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her ex husband Wm. Arthur Richardson, her
siblings Walter, Joseph and Stanley Mrozik, Sophie Micholson and Mary
Rutkowski.
Visitation Monday, January 16, 2012 from 3 until 9 PM at the Glueckert
Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of
Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Tuesday January 17, 2012 at St. Edna
Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9
AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10 AM,at St. Edna Church. Interment
will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
