Thomas E. Irwin
Of Arlington Heights
Thomas E. Irwin was born on September 10, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa to
Clarence and Margaret (nee Rhody) Irwin. He died Thursday, January 12,
2012 at Pepper Family Hospice, Barrington.
Mr. Irwin worked as a Customer Service Representative for Consolidated
Paper Co., now Stora Enso Oje, before retiring. He served in the Navy as
an aviation ordnance man during WWII.
Thomas is survived by his daughters Sheila (William) Kesler, Mary Rahn
and Anne (Joseph) Durec; his grandchildren Erin (Ben) Reidy, Alison
(Steve) DeBerge, Annie Kesler, Amanda, John Jr., and Jeffrey Rahn and
Megan (Ted) Beauchaine, Zachary and Lilly Durec; his great grandchildren
John “Jack” and Harper Beauchaine: his sister Anne Thornton and his
brother James.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine; his parents; his son-in-law
John Rahn; and his brother John.
Visitation from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2012 at
Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington
Heights, Illinois. Prayers 10:15 AM, Tuesday January 17, 2012 at the
funeral home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington
Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004, for Mass at 11:00 am.
Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of
Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010 or St.
James Catholic Church.
