Florence V. Jelen was born on July 10, 1923 in Chicago to Stanley and Anna (nee Korabik) Chrobak. She passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Des Plaines.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Karen Jelen, Diana (the late James Pearl) Jelen Pearl and Laura Davey; her granddaughters, Jesica and Emily Pearl; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Casimir A. Jelen and her brother Dr. Theodore M. Chrobak.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, January 9, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:15 am Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home to St. Alphonsus Liguori Church, 411 N. Wheeling Rd., Prospect Heights for Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
