Florence S. Flader
Of Buffalo Grove, formerly of Evanston

Florence S. Flader was born on March 31, 1912 in Escanaba, MI to John and Cecile (nee Adolph) Schoonenberg. She passed away on January 8, 2011 in Buffalo Grove.

She is survived by her sons, John (Martha), Gym (Nancy) and William (Joan) Flader; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Bonney, Patrick (Charlotte) Flader, Shana (Jay) Paris, Bradley Flader, Jaime (Todd) Borgialli, Thomas (Traci) Flader and Douglas (Jamie) Flader; her great-grandchildren, Casey, Taylor, Cannon, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Jake, Spencer, Bella, Lily, Jack, Charlie and Annalise; her sister, Mary (the late Kieran) McGarry; her brother, John (the late Ione) Schoonenberg; and her sister-in-law, Dorothy Schoonenberg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; her brother, William Schoonenberg; and her sister, Helen (the late Harlan) Welsh.

Visitation Friday, January 21, 2011 from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary Catholic Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Women’s Auxiliary IL PHCC Scholarship Fund, 821 S. Grand Ave. W, Springfield, IL 62704 or to the Libertyville Bank and Trust, 507 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, IL 60048 for a living garden project planned for Belmont Village where Florence lived.
