Marie E. Hayes was born on December 3, 1913 in Chicago to James and Marie (nee Ellis) Finn. She died Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Northbrook.

Mrs. Hayes was a past president of the AMVETS Auxiliary, Post 13 in Chicago.

Marie is survived by her niece, Barbara Finn May and many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, James J. Hayes, whom she married in 1940 in Chicago; her parents and her siblings, J. Ellis (Catherine) Finn, and Francis J. Finn.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment is at Queen Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
