Evan Jules Morell
Of Schaumburg

Evan Jules Morell was born August 30, 1922 in Mount Clare, New Jersey to Jules and Signe (nee Wickstrom) Morell. He died on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates.

He was a decorated veteran in the Navy who served during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America, and the Men’s Garden Club. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, and was an avid golfer, a member of the Elks Club, the Kiwanis, and Sand Hills College Botanical Society.

Evan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorothy (nee Carey) whom he married on September 14, 1963; his children, Susan (Davidson) Gilligan, Sally Morell, Diane Lagoski, Shelley (Bill Rodriguez) Morell, and Brad (Aiza Belas) Morell; and his grandchildren, Britney, Damian, Megan, Emily, Laura, and Dana.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation from 1:00 PM until time of service 2:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment is private.
