Lawrence Stephen Krenos
Of Arlington Heights
Lawrence Stephen Krenos was born September 5, 1923 in Chicago to Joseph
and Maria (nee Podnavir) Krenos. He died Thursday, January 1, 2010 at
the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.
Mr. Krenos worked as a binder in the printing industry. He served in the
Army during WW II and was with the 4th Infantry at the initial landing
of the D-Day Invasion.
Lawrence enjoyed playing pool at the Arlington Heights Senior Center for
over 20 years and was an avid sports enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Josie nee Tortorice; his
children Marilyn (Robert) Przywara of Palatine, Larry Krenos of
Arlington Heights and Susan (Laury) Chimerofsky of Salida, Calif; his
grandchildren Jason (Jennifer) Chimerofsky, Ryan Chimerofsky and Jami
Chimerofsky.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and Edouard.
Visitation from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Monday,
January 4, 2010 at the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. Edna Catholic
Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights for Funeral
Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
