William R. “Bill”
Zarnow, Jr. was born
on July 25, 1934 in
Houston to William
R. and Mary M. (nee
Sikes) Zarnow. He
passed away on
January 22, 2009 in
Glenview, IL.
Bill was a 1951
graduate of Reagan
High School. He
attended Texas A&M
in 1952 and
graduated from the
University of
Houston in 1962. He
served in the Army
from 1954 to 1957.
Bill retired from
Tenneco in 1989
after a 34-year
career and also
retired from
Coldwell Banker in
2008 after a 15-year
career. He was a
past member of
Rotary Club, past
church board
President for
several
congregations.
He is survived by
his wife of 50
years, Carol Jean
Zarnow (nee Radenz);
his children Debra
Zarnow of Evanston
and Steven (Lisa)
Zarnow of LaFayette,
IN; his
grandchildren,
Heather, Ashley and
Chad Zarnow; his
brother; his nieces,
Mindy Radenz and
Dana Ott; nephew,
Kevin Radenz and one
other nephew; his
brother-in-law,
Ronald Radenz; and
his mother-in-law,
Katie Radenz.
