Thomas A. Barnes

Thomas A. Barnes was
born March 26, 1944
in Ocala, Florida to
Elmer Curtis and
Sarah Francis (nee
Brakefield) Barnes.
He died Thursday,
January 15, 2009 at
his home.
Mr. Barnes was a
computer programmer
who owned Skytop
Software and was a
consultant for
Greenbriar &
Russell.
Thomas served in the
Air Force during the
Vietnam War. He was
a past president of
EAA Chapter #1414,
participated in
Young Eagles and the
Boy Scouts of
America.
His survivors
include his children
T. Andrew Barnes of
Louisville, Ky. and
Mary Ann Barnes of
Houston, TX; his
grandchildren Angel,
Jaco, Molly and Lary;
and his brothers
Eugene Curtis Barnes
and Robert Wynn
Barnes.
Thomas is preceded
in death by his
parents
Tom’s service is
3:30 PM, Saturday,
January 17, 2009 at
the Glueckert
Funeral Home, Ltd.,
1520 N. Arlington
Heights Road, (4
blocks south of
Palatine Road)
Arlington Heights.
Tom’s family will
receive guests from
3:00 until 5:00 PM,
Saturday. Interment
private.
In lieu of flowers,
memorial
contributions may be
given to Hospice of
Northeastern
Illinois, 410 S.
Hager, Barrington,
IL 60010.
