Stephanie A. Magdecki was born July 29, 1918 in Chicago to Joseph and Angeline (nee Samborska) Prus. She died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Fountains Nursing Center in Crystal Lake.

Mrs. Magdecki worked in the Accounting Department for Sears & Roebuck in the home office in Chicago for over 40 years before retiring.

Her survivors include her sister Alexandra “Elsie” Jagielo; her nieces and nephews Ron (Carol) Beyna, Richard (Arlene) Beyna, Larry (Barbara) Beyna, Barbara Cmiel, Carol (Glen) Larson, Karen Turowski and Marie (Richard) Lentz; and several great nieces and great nephews.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her husband Albert and her parents; and her siblings Alexander (Alvina) Prush, Genevieve Prush, Joan (Edward) Beyna, Anne (Richard) Pezan and Loretta (Edward) Turkowski.

Visitation from 4:00 until 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:00 AM, Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
