Everett Flores, formerly of Rolling Meadows, Des Plaines, and Chicago, was born February 27, 1924 in Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico to Ciriaco and Sara (nee Constant) Flores. He died Monday, January 12, 2009 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview.

In 1951 Mr. Flores relocated to Chicago, leaving his wife and infant son in Mexico in search of a better life. Through the help of relatives, he secured employment and was able to have his family join him a couple of years later. He was employed by Custom Line Manufacturing in Chicago as an industrial engineer and plant manager. He later worked as a sales engineer for Piher and most recently was employed with Vimex in Arlington Heights. Everett also owned Musimex in Rolling Meadows from 1989 until 2001.

As he was able to relocate and start a better life, so Everett helped sponsor numerous families relocating from Mexico. Especially through his associations in the music store, many sought his counsel, advice and assistance. Additionally he started the Spanish Ministry at St. Mary Church in Des Plaines.
