Richard R. Reid
Of Huntley

Richard R. Reid was born on July 29, 1938 in Stambaugh, MI to Merle and Katherine (nee Dzarnowski) Reid. He passed away on December 25, 2008 in Barrington.

Mr. Reid served in the Navy as an Aerographer’s Mate. He also retired in 1991 after a 30-year career with the Arlington Heights Police Department.

He is survived by his wife, Sue, nee Hoel; his children, Janice (Michael) Mazgay, Steven (Lisa) Reid and Jennifer (Michael) Kolodij and step-children, Christine (Tim) Brady, Annette (Dan) Jackson and Fredrick (Courtney) Schmidt; his grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Tori, Grant, Nicholas, Cole, Jarrett, Nathan, Maddie, Connor, Hayden, Nina, Clayton, Landon and Mallory; and his great-grandson, Zach.

Memorial service 10:00 AM on Friday, January 9, 2009 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Hicks Rd., Palatine.
