Robert F. Hart, a 56
year resident of
Prospect Heights,
was born April 26,
1923 in Forest Park,
Illinois to Francis
A. and Kathryn (nee
Mick) Hart. He died
Tuesday, December
30, 2008 at his
home.
Mr. Hart was
employed as an
industrial engineer
at Kleinschmidt,
later MCC Powers
Regulator then Bell
& Howell and retired
in 1989 from Die
Cast.
Robert was a 1941
graduate of Proviso
Township High School
and received his
Bachelor’s degree
from Purdue
University in 1950.
During WWII, he
served in the US
Army Air Force 828th
Bomb Squadron,
member of the 485th
Bomb Group near
Venosa, Italy. I.
Robert was an
umpire, manager and
the league equipment
manager for Prospect
Heights Little
League Baseball and
also Little League
District
Administrator for
the Northern
Illinois Zone. He
was a member of Work
Factor Association
of the Midwest and
an initial member of
the Hersey High
School Booster Club.
Roberts’ survivors
include his wife of
58 years Elizabeth
nee Oxley; his sons
Michael (Nancie)
Hart of Mundelein,
Thomas (Nancy) Hart
of West Allis, Wisc.,
Patrick (Betsy) Hart
of Woodinville Wash,
Gary Hart of
Mundelein and Robert
(Karen) Hart of Oak
Park; his
grandchildren
Rindelle, Lindyann,
Cynthia, Catherine,
John and Danny Hart.
He is preceded in
death by his
parents.
