Andrea M. Goldspiel
Of Buffalo Grove

Andrea M. Goldspiel was born on March 11, 1940 in Newark, New Jersey to Charles and Mary (nee Gilmore) Mueller. She passed away on January 1, 2009 in Arlington Heights.

Andrea was a three-year Varsity starting guard on her high school’s first girls basketball team. She enjoyed gardening and international travel. She was a member of the Irish American Heritage Center in Chicago. She worked at several local high schools and taught English as a Second Language at a number of community colleges in the area.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Goldspiel; her children, Joshua (Dr. Jennifer Petersen-Goldspiel) of Bloomington, IN, Jules (Eileen) of Silver Spring, MD, Ethan of Arlington Heights and Eric (Joan) of Rolling Meadows; and her grandchildren, Brendan and Connor.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Gilmore Mueller.

Visitation from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the funeral home to Saint Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment Saint Mary Parish Cemetery.
