													Robert McDevitt 
													Of Tinley Park 
													 
													Robert McDevitt, formerly of 
													Glenwood and Chicago, was 
													born February 3, 1923 in 
													Chicago to John and Mary 
													(nee Duffy) McDevitt. He 
													died, Tuesday, January 22, 
													2008 at Church Creek 
													Healthcare Center in 
													Arlington Heights, after a 
													long and brave fight with 
													cancer. Although he will be 
													deeply missed, his difficult 
													battle is over and he is 
													peacefully with God. 
													 
													Mr. McDevitt was a career 
													employee of Holsum Bakery 
													retiring as a district 
													manager. He served as a 
													pilot in the Navy during WW 
													II. Robert was a 
													participating member of the 
													Cedar Lake Bible conference. 
													 
													His survivors include his 
													son Mark, his daughter 
													Kimberlee (Kevin) Goczeski; 
													his cherished grandson 
													Cameron; and his companion 
													of Dora Stofferahn.  
													 
													Robert is preceded in death 
													by his beloved wife Betty 
													(nee Carline); his sister 
													Bernice and his parents. 
													 
													The family would like to 
													extend special thanks to the 
													staffs of Church Creek 
													Healthcare Center, Trinity 
													Hospice and Alliance Care at 
													Home for all their care and 
													support. 
													 
													A Memorial service will 
													be held at 11:00 AM, 
													Saturday, February 9, 2008 
													at St. Andrew United 
													Methodist Church, 18850 
													Riegel Rd., Homewood, 
													Illinois. 
													 
													In lieu of flowers, family 
													requests contributions are
