Eugene J. Godzicki

Eugene J. Godzicki, formerly of Arlington Heights, was born November 13, 1927 in Chicago to Joseph and Cecelia (nee Cordak) Godzicki. He died Monday, January 28, 2008 at the Lutheran Home and Services.

Mr. Godzicki was an industrial engineer employed by Parker-Hannifin in Des Plaines for 31 years before he retired in 1983. He served in the US Army.

Eugene’s survivors include his wife of 55 years Marguerite R. nee Baxter, whom he married September 6, 1952; his daughters Laura Bartos of Aurora, Janet (Joseph) Kuszynski of Lake Zurich, Jean (Phillip) Lorenz of Hawthorn Woods, Karen (Jerry) Bickner of Hawthorn Woods, Margie (Michael) Zwierzynski of Crystal Lake; his 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Raymond, his parents and a sister.

Visitation from 4:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, February 1, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:15 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2008 from the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
