Michael F. Maloney

Michael F. Maloney was born
on December 3, 1944 in
Chicago to Michael P. and
Beatrice (nee Gaughan)
Maloney. He passed away on
January 14, 2008 in
Arlington Heights.
Michael was a 40-year member
of Local 17 Heat and Frost
Insulators Union and was an
employee of O’Malley
Brothers for most of that
time. He was an avid
fisherman who enjoyed
canoeing, voyageur
reenactments and Irish
music. He was a selfless man
who was always there for his
family and friends. He also
was a youth soccer coach for
his children.
He is survived by his wife
of 40 years, Gail A. (nee
Lanam) whom he married on
August 26, 1967, his
children, Sheila, Kati and
Mike Maloney, his siblings,
Joseph (Nora) Maloney,
Sheila (Patrick) Clemens,
Margaret (the late Thomas)
Walsh, Beatrice (Michael)
Duffy, Maureen (James)
Mannion and Patricia
(Robert) Haertel, many
nieces and nephews, his
mother in law, Pauline
“Gramma” Lanam, his good
family friend, Brendan
Byrne, 27 nieces and nephews
and 36 grand nieces and
grand nephews.
Michael was preceded in
death by his parents and his
sister, Winifred Becvarik.

until 9:00 PM Friday,
January 18, 2008 at the
